Jamaica, like most Caribbean and other tropical islands, is known for its white sandy beaches. Many people looking for a destination wedding gravitate towards Jamaica for its mix of sand, sun and sea. Of course, Jamaica also has its rich culture of reggae, vibes and jerk and other cuisine that makes it a top choice among the islands.
But...
Jamaica is so much more than its coast and culture. When one looks inwards to the heart of the island you find that this tropical paradise has so much more to offer for your idyllic nuptials.
If you are looking for venues, and you want something more unique for your big day than the stereotypical destination wedding, then Jamaica offers a wide array of options. Not only do we have beaches, but we have 120 rivers and over 15 waterfalls.
Wedding Waterfalls – River Receptions
Here are a few options of beautiful watery backdrops for a beautiful bride!
KONOKO FALLS
Located in the popular resort town of Ocho Rios, these falls offer a tropical escape. The tranquil waterfalls provide a calming location for souls to connect. Not only does this location make a splash with its waterfalls, but it also has on property botanical gardens and a zoo, which will make you feel like you have entered a whole new world!

MARTHA BRAE RIVER AT THE GOOD HOPE ESTATE
Combine the historical great house feel with a riverside experience at this spectacular location. The Martha Brae river is located in one of Jamaica’s less known areas of Falmouth, Trelawny (34.7 km from Montego Bay by road). At the Good Hope Estate, you can conceive and create a calming riverside wedding experience.

WHITE RIVER VALLEY
Located in Ocho Rios this is another great option for a relaxing riverside reception.

“Best of Both Worlds”
Not ready to let go of your vision of saying "I do" with sand between your toes? Why not get the best of both worlds by getting married where the waterfalls and rivers meet the sea?!
LAUGHING WATERS
This beautiful location in St Ann will have you smiling (or even laughing) in absolute bliss on your wedding day. One look at this gorgeous space and it is easy to see why it was chosen as an ideal location from the earliest James Bond movie.

FRENCHMAN’S COVE
Of all the places in Jamaica, Portland truly has my heart; and this location in Portland will have you falling in love again. No need to choose between warm seas and cool rivers. The two become one at Frenchman’s Cove.
